Hi, I’m Carol 👋

I’m a mum, and I’m the person behind FamilySave UK.

Like most families, we’ve had times when we’ve needed to make our money stretch further. Family days out, meals out, school holidays and even the everyday things soon add up, especially when you’re trying to give the kids great experiences without spending a fortune.

That’s why FamilySave UK exists.

Why I started FamilySave UK

I was constantly searching for things like kids eat free offers, cheaper days out and ways to make school holidays more affordable.

The problem wasn’t that the deals didn’t exist.

It was finding them.

Offers were spread across restaurant websites, attraction pages, social media posts, newsletters and voucher sites. Some were out of date, some had complicated terms and others were difficult to find unless you already knew they existed.

I wanted somewhere I could go and simply see:

What can we do as a family, and how can we pay less for it?

FamilySave UK grew from that idea.

What you’ll find here

FamilySave brings together savings and useful information for UK families, including:

  • Kids Eat Free and low-cost family dining offers
  • Family days out and attraction discounts
  • School holiday ideas
  • Pumpkin picking, Christmas events and seasonal activities
  • UK family breaks
  • Free and low-cost things to do
  • Guides that compare family activities and experiences
  • Family money information, including children’s cards and bank accounts

The aim is simple.

Help families find good options more quickly and make their money go further.

I want FamilySave to be genuinely useful

I don’t want FamilySave to become another website filled with hundreds of deals that nobody has checked.

Where we publish prices, dates, offers or important conditions, we try to check them against the provider’s own information.

Things can change, so you should always check the latest details with the business before travelling or booking, but I want you to feel confident that we’ve done the homework first.

You’ll also see Last checked or Last verified dates on parts of the site where keeping information current really matters.

It’s a family-run project

Although I’m the main voice behind FamilySave, I’m not completely on my own.

My husband helps behind the scenes with the technology, data and some of the systems that keep the site running.

Between us, FamilySave has grown from a simple idea into something used by families across the UK.

But it is still very much a small, family-run project rather than a large deals company or faceless comparison website.

That matters to me.

FamilySave is free to use

You don’t need to pay or subscribe to browse FamilySave.

Some of the links on the site are affiliate or referral links. If you use one of those links to buy something, make a booking or open an account, FamilySave may receive a commission or referral payment.

It normally doesn’t cost you anything extra.

Commercial relationships do not determine which offers, attractions or products we include, and where a link is commercial we aim to make that clear.

The income helps pay for the technology and running costs behind FamilySave and allows us to keep the main site free for families.

More than just deals

FamilySave started with family deals, but I want it to become somewhere parents can come whenever they’re thinking:

“There must be a cheaper or better way of doing this.”

That might mean finding somewhere the kids can eat for free.

It might mean comparing Christmas days out before spending £100 on tickets.

It might mean finding a cheaper UK break.

Or it might mean understanding the difference between the cards and accounts available for your children.

If FamilySave saves you money, saves you time or simply helps you make a better decision, then it’s doing what I created it to do.

Found something we’ve missed?

If you spot an offer that has changed, find something that needs correcting or know about a great family saving we haven’t listed, please get in touch.

FamilySave is always improving, and feedback from families using the site genuinely helps.
