The Polar Express Train Ride 2026 UK Heritage Railways

The Polar Express Train Ride is the officially licensed festive steam experience that runs at heritage railways across the UK, including Telford, Churnet Valley, Spa Valley, the Yorkshire Dales and Epping. The 2026 season at Telford runs from 21 November to 23 December, with each other site on its own dates. Families ride in pyjamas while chefs serve hot chocolate and a cookie, dancing chefs perform and Santa boards the train to hand every child a gift. Tickets are sold in pairs and start at around 34 pounds per person, rising closer to Christmas. Book early through each railway as popular slots sell out.
