GoHenry is not a bank. Its terms describe different arrangements for card funds, top-up e-money and separate savings products; check the applicable terms rather than assuming bank deposit protection.

Other costs: Everyday includes one free top-up a month; additional top-ups cost 50p. Optional card designs cost extra.

One-month trial, then automatic paid renewal

Who it suits and what to check

May suit: Parents who will regularly use chores and learning activities.

Consider: Consider which learning tools your plan includes, and the top-up fees. Plus costs more; Max has family pricing.

Plus is £5.99/month per child; Max is £9.99/month for up to four children. These are different feature bundles.

No interest rate quoted: the pricing page contains mixed plan labels.

Already a NatWest Group customer?

The Rooster offer covers up to three cards per household for eligible adult NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank customers while they remain eligible. Connect the qualifying account and claim the offer. An existing paid subscription changes at its end; the free offer is not automatically a refund.

If eligibility ends, the subscription can renew at the then-current monthly price. Read the cancellation and renewal terms before claiming.

Monthly billing and annual billing give different answers

Rooster has both a monthly subscription and a discounted annual option. The calculator lets you compare each against GoHenry Everyday. GoHenry’s introductory month is excluded so you can see the recurring paid-year cost.

GoHenry’s Plus and Max plans cost more and have different features. For a larger family, check family pricing before multiplying a single-child cost. This comparison uses the entry card plans only.

Beyond the price

Chores and regular allowance are available in both products. Rooster offers goal pots and parent-set interest; that interest is money the parent pays, not a bank interest rate. GoHenry offers plan-specific educational activities.

For NatWest Group parents looking for chores and a card, Rooster is a useful starting point. Parents who value structured learning should inspect GoHenry’s included lessons. Neither conclusion depends on a commercial relationship.

Questions parents ask

Do I need to bank with NatWest to use Rooster?

Not for the paid Rooster Card. The free subscription offer requires an eligible NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank account and must be claimed.

Is parent-set interest the same as savings interest?

No. Parent-set interest is a teaching feature funded by the parent. It is not interest paid by the bank on a deposit.
